UN Women Moldova is seeking to engage a National Consultant to provide expertise and recommendations on gender mainstreaming into the analytical and informational products developed by institutions/partners within the WILG and WPS areas, including support in addressing gender discrimination through awareness raising and capacity building, upon request. In July 2010, the United Nations General Assembly created UN Women, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. The creation of UN Women came about as part of the UN reform agenda, bringing together resources and mandates for greater impact. It merges and builds on the important work of four previously distinct parts of the UN system (DAW, OSAGI, INSTRAW and UNIFEM), which focused exclusively on gender equality and women's empowerment. Women, persons with disabilities, Roma and other ethnic or religious minorities, persons living with HIV, as well as refugees and other non-citizens legally entitled to work in the Republic of Moldova, are particularly encouraged to apply.

The CPR Programme is seeking to partner with NGOs registered in the Republic of Moldova and functioning on either bank of the Dniester/Nistru River with the general capacity to:× provide expertise and assistance on developing, organizing and conducting a public awareness campaign on enhancing cooperation among the communities from both banks of the Dniestr/Nistru River through the “Removal and Disposal of Dangerous Chemicals from Moldova project assisting Moldova to reduce security and safety risks stemming from the storage of hazardous chemicals;× launch an awareness campaign among population and a wide group of stakeholders on both banks of the Dniestr/Nistru River; organize awareness-raising events (including roundtables, conferences, and public lectures) with a focus on building awareness about the chemicals being removed, amplifying the successful cooperation between both banks in the removal process and promoting OSCE as the project facilitator; and involve as wide of a range of stakeholders possible, including but not limited to NGO-s, local authorities officials, farmers, authorities managing sites from which chemicals are being removed and local population (children, students, parents, employees etc.) Programul CPR își propune să colaboreze cu ONG-uri înregistrate în Republica Moldova și care activează pe ambele maluri ale râului Nistru, având ca obiectiv general:- să ofere expertiză și asistență pentru dezvoltarea, organizarea și desfășurarea unei campanii de sensibilizare a publicului privind consolidarea cooperării între comunitățile de pe ambele maluri ale râului Nistru prin intermediul proiectului Colectarea și Evacuarea pentru Eliminarea Substanțelor Chimice Periculoase din Moldova , care ajută Moldova să reducă riscurile pentru siguranță și securitate cauzate de păstrarea substanțelor chimice periculoase;- să lanseze o campanie de sensibilizare în rândul populației și al unui grup larg de pe ambele maluri ale râului Nistru; să organizeze evenimente de sensibilizare (inclusiv mese rotunde, conferințe și prelegeri publice), cu accent pe creșterea gradului de conștientizare cu privire la substanțele chimice care sunt îndepărtate, pe amplificarea cooperării de succes între ambele maluri în procesul de îndepărtare și pe promovarea OSCE în calitate de facilitator al proiectului; și să implice un grup cât mai larg de părți interesate, inclusiv, dar fără a se limita la ONG-uri, reprezentanți ai autorităților locale, fermieri, gestionari ai siturilor cu substanțe chimice, precum și oameni din comunitatea locală (copii, studenți, părinți, angajați, etc.)

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Environment, Climate Change & Energy Programme Specialist/ Cluster Lead, the Programme Associate provides leadership in execution of services in the CO Programme Unit, supports the design, planning and management of the country programme by managing data and facilitating programme implementation. The Programme Associate supervises and leads the support staff of the Programme Unit. The Programme Associate works in close collaboration with the operations, programme and project teams in the CO and UNDP IRH/HQ staff for resolving complex programme-related issues and information delivery.
