În perioada 15 iunie 2021 – 15 decembrie 2023 în ASEM derulează proiectul: „Children Left Behind by Labour Migration: Supporting Moldovan and Ukrainian Transnational Families in the EU/CASTEL” („Copiii lăsați în urma migrației forței de muncă: Sprijinirea familiilor transnaționale moldovenești și ucrainene în UE/CASTEL”), cu nr. Scopul proiectului este de sprijinire a Republicii Moldova și a Ucrainei în îmbunătățirea cadrelor de protecție și a cunoștințelor familiilor transnaționale în legătură cu impactul social și juridic al migrației forței de muncă spre Uniunea Europeană. În scopul diseminării rezultatelor cerecetării, membrii proiectului au participat la conferința internațională organizată de Centrul pentru studiul familiilor transnaționale din cadrul Universității Babeș-Bolyai din Cluj și Fundația Terre des hommes România ”Familii fără frontiere din Ucraina și Moldova. Concluzii preliminare ale unei cercetări unice despre familiile transnaționale”, Bucuresti, 7 Iunie 2022.
