Уровень обеспеченности услугами здравоохранения и медицинской помощью в мире с 1990 года вырос на 31%, свидетельствуют данные анализа, проведенного российскими и зарубежными специалистами ВОЗ, опубликованные в журнале Lancet. Из России в работе принимали участие представители Московского физико-технического института (МФТИ), ВШЭ, институтов РАН, вузов и учреждений системы здравоохранения. Отставнов и его коллеги использовали эти сведения для изучения того, насколько хорошо жители разных стран были обеспечены важнейшими медицинскими услугами в последние три десятка лет. Кроме того, они сопоставили этот показатель с тем, как много финансов в среднем вкладывалось в работу всей системы здравоохранения в целом. На глобальном масштабе эти показатели улучшились, поднявшись с отметки в 45,8 пункта в 1990 году до 60,3 балла в 2019 году.
